Peter is a qualified accountant, holds an MBA from Cass Business School and is a Chartered Director with Fellowship status at IOD.

BlackRock works with organisations from across the public and private sectors. Recently, BlackRock has completed a leadership assessment and development programme for a local authority and continues to offer advisory and commercial training services to private sector training providers and other organisations.

Regarding the apprenticeship levy, BlackRock is able to help levy paying organisations manage the introduction of the levy and ensure that the training that the levy is paying for is in line with the relevant standards and offers value for money.

BlackRock can also manage a variety of apprenticeship training providers on behalf of employers thus reducing employers’ transaction costs, allowing more of their time to be spent on delivering core business.

BlackRock has developed levy compatible L&M training programmes for first-time managers through to senior managers.

These programmes will provide managers with the knowledge, skills, behaviours and experience to be confident and effective in challenging situations.

Programmes are ideal for organisations which set high expectations and look to managers to make a striking contribution to overall organisational success.

making it work for your leadership needs

Our comprehensive programmes are designed to improve the effectiveness of busy managers in their workplace as well as providing them with a first-rate qualification as a manager and additional associate accreditation by a professional lead body, the Chartered Management Institute.

Our programmes provide a truly blended-learning approach combining workshops, individual coaching and support, on-line learning and practical experience carefully assessed at all key stages. There is also the opportunity for managers to learn from each other, to develop their own support networks from within the group, and to enjoy their period of study for the fresh challenges and opportunities it brings.

At the centre of our approach is the dedicated support of a personal tutor offered to each Apprentice at each stage of their programme.

A number of one-hour webinars are held on key topics to share contemporary thinking. These are interactive events with participants able to ask questions, make comments etc. as the webinar progresses.

Our programmes are specifically designed to support managers to then apply new learning in their workplace.

Some of the strongest aspects of the programmes, however, come from participants themselves. They form a community to support each other which BlackRock assists through creation and facilitation.

Lively skills workshops and work-pods designed to enable the busy manager to work more effectively.

The busy manager will have a tremendous opportunity to develop greater self-awareness and to understand the impact they have on others through a series of questionnaires and management-style inventories, the results of which are discussed with their personal tutor.
